Grief's Course

Grief's Course

Navigating grief is not a linear course. Sometimes grief crushes like a breaker. Sometimes it nudges like a gentle swell. Sometimes my days run straight and swift. Sometimes they are erratic and frenzied. Sometimes memories are like the warm sun, putting a smile on my face. Sometimes memories break me, because they are like a mist over the water, elusive and fading against my grasp. Sometimes the nights are long and perilous...

But, all this is never without hope. Christ is the anchor of my soul. My light in dark places. My Lord and friend who has joined me and humanity in their pain and suffering.

"The sun shall be no more your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give you light; but the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun shall no more go down, nor your moon withdraw itself; for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of mourning shall be ended."
Isaiah 60:19–20
